Essence of Christmas

Every person has his own priorities, his own wants and needs. Some people may choose material things, while others may prefer tangible ones such as love, peace, prosperity and good health among others. No matter what these people wish for these holiday season, what matters most is that the desires of their hearts are granted as long as nobody is hurt, right?

This Christmas season, it is important for us to bear in our minds the reason why we are celebrating this yuletide season in the first place. In this month of December, it is a must for us to remember that our Lord came in this world in order to save us from our sins; He came to redeem us from the wickedness of this world.

We also have to recollect the fact that our Lord God is humble being born only in a manger. This is the message that is sent to us - we must learn how to humble ourselves, no matter how rich or financially wealthy we are because Christ himself symbolizes humility. Even though He is a son of God, He did not demanded for a special “birthing place” or become “man” in a wealthy family; instead, He was born in a poor family.

Anyway, the essence of celebrating Christmas season is not to have a house full of Christmas lights, having a tall and beautiful Christmas tree full of gifts underneath it and giving gifts. Christmas basically means sharing what you have, not just the material things but also those that can only be felt like a warm, tight hug, a simple thank you, showing our appreciation to our loved ones and forgiveness among others.

Whichever of these are important to you this holiday season, just remember that it’s the thought that counts and that love is the most important thing in the world. When love governs our hearts and minds.

Everything will follow and we don’t need to wait for Christmas time to share our love to other people.

Violence Against Women (VAW)

The UN Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women (1993)
defines violence against women (VAW) as, “any act of gender‑based violence that
results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty,
whether occurring in public and private life. Gender-based violence is any violence
inflicted on women because of their sex.”
The Philippine definition as contained in Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence
Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) states VAW as "any act or a series of
acts committed by any person against a woman who is his wife, former wife, or against a woman with whom the person has or had a sexual or dating relationship, or with
whom he has a common child, or against her child whether legitimate or illegitimate, within or without the family abode, which result in or is likely to result in physical, sexual, psychological harm or suffering, or economic abuse including threats of such acts, battery, assault, coercion, harassment or arbitrary deprivation of liberty.

Environmental Awareness Month

To define environmental awareness we must first understand the environmentalist movement. Environmentalism is an ideology that evokes the necessity and responsibility of humans to respect, protect, and preserve the natural world from its anthropogenic (caused by humans) afflictions.
Environmental awareness is an integral part of the movement’s success. By teaching our friends and family that the physical environment is fragile and indispensable we can begin fixing the problems that threaten it.
Numerous resources are available to promote environmental awareness; group learning (in or outside of class), informational and inspirational seminars, such as our Awakening th3 Dreamer Program, and environmental books and brochures are just a few of the tools that can get you involved in promoting the environment.

Children Month Celebration

https://images.app.goo.gl/jTfA4BtESK95idFe7National Children’s Month is celebrated every October here in the Philippines. Mandated by Presidential Proclamation 267, it is a time to recognize the value of Filipino Children as the most valuable assets in the society. Observed by Government and Non-Government agaencies around the Philippines, the month-long celebration is also a campaign to end violence against children and to promote their physical, emotional, moral, spiritual and intellectual well-being.
According to UNICEF, every year millions of children around the world become victims of untold violence. Children in every country, every culture and at every social level face various forms of abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence. The abuse takes place at home, in school, in institutions, at work, in the community, in armed conflict and natural disasters. Much violence against children, such as corporal punishment and sexual abuse, remains legal and socially approved in many countries. The violence children face takes many forms, such as exploitation and abuse, trafficking, physical and humiliating punishment, harmful traditional practices (including early marriage and genital mutilation/cutting) and recruitment into armed forces and groups. Growing up with violence and abuse seriously affects a child’s development, dignity, and physical and psychological integrity.

Values Month Celebration

                                          https://images.app.goo.gl/zwLN5oJExEhkWiX98
Through the centuries and through interactions with peoples of different cultures, Filipinos have acquired patience, filial piety, close family ties, business acumen, etc., integrating them into their way of life.
These values mirror the Filipino people’s rich heritage of history and culture. They manifest the things in life that Filipinos revere. With these values, Filipinos have coped with the vicissitudes of life.
One value that has not been emphasized in our people’s education is Isang dugo, one blood, one race, referring to our common origin in the past. This is one beautiful and endearing value that we must teach our children to help preserve the unity of our nation.
We observe the month of November as Filipino Values Month. Let us celebrate Filipino Values every day of the year. This will help us keep ourselves together as one people of one blood.

UN Celebration 2019

https://images.app.goo.gl/7BTJ9xrYX46YGBQZA

In many countries around the world, people
celebrate United Nations Day with national costumes, flags, and music performances. That’s because this day is a symbol of cultural diversity.
The United Nations are famous for their work in disaster relief, humanitarian aid, peacekeeping, and international unity. Every 24 October we celebrate its anniversary as a reminder of the importance of diversity, culture, and the spirit of brotherhood.
It was on 24 October 1945 that the foundational treaty of the United Nations brought the organisation into existence. Mainly, the aim was to encourage co-operation between all the governments of the world after the failure of the League of Nations. In other words, it was an effort to prevent another war like World War II from breaking out.

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” – PelĂ©, Brazilian football legend.

Moving on, I will apply every lessons that I have pick up. I will study harder and I believe in saying that success isn't easy, and that's a good thing. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it and your competition would be outrageous. Just believe Him and you will overcome every challenges. Just push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.

Intramurals 2019

Intramural result a big and great amount of new friends and acquaintances as friendly atmosphere and funny activities bring many positive emotions and desire to share and enhance socialization among others. In addition, such events give a nice opportunity for everyone to be active and show one's best. The MAPEH Club in our school really had a hectic schedule of events and games to be played because of the ravage of typhoon Mario which really cause a bad effect in the whole school physically. Many facilities and equipment are destroyed and damgaded. The last day of Intams 2014 was posponed. But still, the whole studentry of our school resumed all the events and sports. The Supreme Student Government (SSG) in our school also conducted fun activities and booths like Movie Booth, Horror Booth, Marriage Booth and Food Booth for the students to enjoy the Intrams. Consequently, Intramural makes students more confident so that their life would be be brighter and ingrained. However the biggest oppurtunity and value of Intramurals is wellness and desire to be active and to get entertainment always.

All in all, the truth of Intramural sports and activities is vivid. Intramural is fun and exciting. Such events have many advantages and opens many possibilities for students to be active, happy and fun. Encourages students and faculty to participate in active life and experiment in entertainment and to promote wellness. An event which cannot be concealed.

Science Month Celebration

All Institutions across the country, from preschools to tertiary schools celebrates or implement different activities and seminars to help students enhance their thinking abilities and valuable skills and talents.  The National Science Club Month Celebration is one of the most awaited celebration among all the students of every school.

We all know that Science is everywhere and somewhere, anything and everything, somebody or someone. Let me first take an introduction to refresh our minds about it. According to the Spark Notes of Science Discoveries, Science is everything that surrounds us. It's to discover Information about this world we live in , study information, problems, hypothesis and conclusions, a process that has started long long time ago and will continue in the near future and in generations to come. Everything in our world that we use somehow or someway was made by science. It started with discovering something now then study what can it be capable of. Science has taken to us to an entirely new place. From batteries to computers, to better gas mileages, there was just been huge breakthrough in Science. It is in both chemistry and physics. In chemistry there is discovering elements using chemical bonding. In physics there are already discovered laws and properties such as gravity, motion, speed, force, acceleration etc.  Whether the discovery is 200 years old , 100 years old or present, It's Science nonetheless. Science is all around us, from laptops that we use, car that we drive. Science is to discover information about our Natural world and even about space to help us understand our  Existence.

This activities are not created not only to enhance the skills of the students and their thinking abilities but also yielding the National Wellness of the school and create an impact of good communication. My idea on this purpose of activities is "cooperation, Unity Valuable Knowledge and creativity should be on the students for them to portray and show to every activity that they will be participating to apply it in the near future. But this are not only qualities to be added on their work but should be their greatest medium in their work. there they should apply them all and so their work will be done in a positive manner.

Happy Scools Movement

https://images.app.goo.gl/b4HE25KGZizMS6PBA
On July 26 2019, we students of Ilocos Sur National High School attended the Happy Schools Movement which we will learn some traditions, cultures, and about education in Vigan. There are many rooms inside the Vigan Convention Center. Each room have different topics like Mathematics, Science, History, and more.
We are very lucky because we were invited in this occasion. The teachers gave us advice about life in school, being a good child, not pressure yourself, and more. Then we started visiting each booth.
After we visit the booths, we were given a chance to wrote the lessons we have learned. We felt happy on every minute inside VCC because we feel free every second and we learned and discovered many things.
Enjoy our life because life is short. Explore things that we haven’t learned. Be happy always.

Teacher's Day Celebration 2019

October, the month of the teachers. So, let us give them love, not stress. This October, our school celebrated the Teacher’s day by making a program at the ISNHS Gymnasium. They have raffle draws where the teachers will win consolation prizes and the major prizes; washing machine, cabinet, and led television. We must give our teachers love and be kind to them.

Teachers are very important. Without teachers, we are all nothing because teachers are our Education. Without teachers, we have no knowledge at everything. So, we must respect our teachers. Hear their teaches and you will use it someday.

Let us celebrate the Teacher’s day. Happy Teacher’s Day to all teachers there.
